Finding the College that is a Perfect Fit for You or Your Student!

In a consultation with School Finders' College Placement Service, you will have the opportunity to get the answers to many questions about the colleges you are considering:

  • Deciding on the type of college you are looking for
  • Do you want to be in the city, the suburbs, a rural area?
  • How are liberal arts, community colleges, universities, professional schools, and vocational schools different? Which interests you?
  • Do you want a small campus or a large university?
  • How much can you and/or your parents contribute to the cost of college?
  • Do you need a school with an LD center or other special services?
  • How do you like to learn?
  • Do you want to live on campus?
  • Are the schools you are interested in reasonably likely to accept you?
  • Are your SAT scores good, do you need to improve?

Getting You into College!

Once you have chosen the colleges that interest you, School Finders will:

  • Contact the admissions office of each college and have them send you the catalog and application
  • Help you with your essay and application form.
  • Set up a college schedule with visits, deadlines, and necessary application recommendations and materials.
  • Talking to the admissions director: School Finders will "introduce" you to the school. As your scores, applications, and other papers arrive, we make sure that all of your files are properly maintained and that you are "known" as an individual, not just a number.
